The Rescue Diver course teaches you to recognize and respond to stressful situations, manage dive emergencies, and become a more responsible and prepared diver. Through a combination of knowledge development, confined water sessions, and open water scenarios, you'll learn how to handle common dive emergencies and become equipped to lend assistance to both panicked divers and unresponsive divers.
Knowledge Development:
You'll learn about diver stress, preventing and managing emergencies, emergency planning, and the psychological aspects of rescue. Knowledge reviews and discussions with your instructor will reinforce your understanding of these topics.
Course Prerequisites:
Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
Emergency First Response (EFR) certification or another CPR/first aid training completed within the last 24 months. You can take this training during the Rescue Diver course.
Minimum age: 12 years old for Junior Rescue Diver, 15 years old for Rescue Diver.
