This course is designed for individuals who wish to learn the fundamental knowledge and skills required to become a safe and competent scuba diver. The Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide and allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet) with a dive buddy.
Knowledge Development : This phase includes independent study where students learn the basic principles of scuba diving, such as physics, physiology, equipment, diving procedures, and underwater navigation.
Confined Water Dives: Here, students learn and practice essential scuba skills, including mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, and underwater communication. The confined water sessions are designed to build comfort and confidence in the water while preparing divers for the open water environment.
Open Water Dives: completing the knowledge development and confined water dives, students move on to the open water dive phase. This part consists of four open water dives over two days. During these dives, students apply their skills and knowledge to real-world conditions.
Prerequisites: Able to swim, minimum age: 10 years old for PADI Junior Open Water Diver, 15 years old for PADI Open Water Diver. Good physical health with no medical conditions.
